Advocacy Education
AU's 4th Hispanic Advocacy Education Class is scheduled to graduate on July 8, 2009. All are welcome to attend. See 38th Graduation Ceremony for details.

Listed below are dates and locations for upcoming courses as well as information on courses underway, past courses, and future courses.
We encourage anyone interested in attending any of these offerings to submit an application as soon as possible.

Past Courses
- 2009 Advocacy Education Courses
So far in 2009, AU has completed it's third Hispanic Advocacy Education Course, held at Capitol Region Mental Health Center in Hartford from December 1, 2008 through March 16, 2009 and taught entirely in Spanish. The fourth Hispanic Advocacy Education Course is currently underway, with graduation scheduled for July 8, 2009. See summaries of the 2009 graduation ceremonies:

- 2008 Advocacy Education Courses

During 2008, Advocacy Education Courses were held in Hartford, Danbury, Torrington, New Britain, and Waterbury. In addition, AU held it's first Young Adult "Super Advocate" course, graduating seven young adults. See summaries of the 2008 graduation ceremonies:

- 2007 Advocacy Education Courses

In 2007, eight classes were held with a total of 61 students graduating as AU Advocates from four Commencement Ceremonies. Courses were taught in Hartford, Middletown, New Haven, Norwich, Waterbury, Cedarcrest Hospital in Newington, and two classes at CVH in Middletown.
Future Courses
- Advocacy Unlimited schedules its Advocacy Education Training Course in various locations throughout Connecticut. Locations are based on need and on the number of applications received from a particular area.
Applications are accepted anytime, regardless of your location and whether or not a course is currently scheduled in your area. You can submit an application online, or download and print a copy.
